Axiom customers capture 13 of 21 BE Awards of Excellence.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA, USA — On 24 May 2004, Bentley honored 21 companies with the BE Award of Excellence. The awards were presented due to the remarkable infrastructure projects these firms created using Bentley applications.

All the winners on stage at the BE Awards of Excellence ceremony (source www.be.org).

These projects set benchmarks for their industries and showcased the imagination and technical skill of the firms that created them. The BE Awards were judged by a panel of Bentley users and industry experts. The winning projects were selected from 164 nominees.

Representatives of the Sistema Unificado de Registros (SURE) project pose after receiving the BE Award for Geospatial Managed Environment.

What's more, 13 out of the 21 winners use Axiom products. Below is a list of award winners and their projects, organized by category:

  • Managed Environment: Proyecto de Administracion de Tierras de Honduras for "Sistema Unificado de Registros (SURE)"

  • Geospatial AEC-GIS Vision: Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council for "Environmental Protection Management Project"

  • Geospatial Integrated City: Gdansk Development Agency for "Urban Planning, Gdansk Municipal GIS"

Building

  • BIM for Architecture: NBBJ for "Moscow Medical Center"

  • BIM for Architecture and Engineering: Arup for "Beijing National Swimming Centre"

  • New Technology Adoption: M.C. Dean for "Pentagon Renovation Project"

  • Visualization: Burt Hill Kosar Rittelmann Associates for "University of Connecticut, Information Technology Building"

  • Managed Environment: Dallas-Fort Worth Airport for "Capital Development Project"

Civil

  • New Technology Adoption: Minnesota DOT for "P069 Road Design/Project Delivery"

  • Visualization: Utah DOT for "Virgin Arch Bridge, State Route 9"

  • Civil Rail Design: Rail Link Engineering for "Channel Tunnel Rail Link"

  • Civil Road Design: Vela VKE Consulting Engineers (PTY) Ltd. for "Rock Fall Protection for Chapman's Peak"

  • Managed Environment: New York State DOT for "Designing a Managed Environment"
