The problem
How many times has this happened to you? You place
an element in a 3D MicroStation file only to painfully
discover that the active depth was not where you
thought it was. Now you have to move the element,
or delete it and redraw it. Annoying, isn’t
it?
The solution
Axiom’s ActiveZ. ActiveZ continuously
shows you exactly where your active depth is at
all times in all views.
How ActiveZ works
Let’s say you have four views open: top, front,
right and isometric. Whenever your cursor is in
the top view, ActiveZ graphically displays
the top view’s active depth in the front, right
and isometric views. When you move your cursor to
the right view, ActiveZ displays the right
view’s active depth in the top, front and isometric
views. Whichever view you move your cursor to, ActiveZ
automatically displays the active depth for that
view in all the other views you have displayed.

The benefit
Because you stay oriented in the MicroStation 3D
design cube throughout the design session, there
