DgnCompare
Quickly view design file differences!

Request more information »

You are sitting there looking at two MicroStation design files of the same structural part. They are both about six months old. You know one of the files has been changed. Which one has the change? Are there any other differences? Did you make some other changes for a later project? Did you put the second set of changes in the correct file? The answer to all these questions is: DgnCompare.

DgnCompare permits users to distinctly see the differences between any two MicroStation design files.
DgnCompare distinctly shows the user which elements have been added; which elements have been deleted and which elements have had only their color, weight, style or level modified from the initial version of the MicroStation file.

DgnCompare lets you see the differences between any two design files.

Select the differences you want to see, or don’t want to see!
Expanding the usefulness of the program, options are included to focus on or ignore elements of a specific type, level, color or style. For example, you could choose to see only the differences between text elements on levels 24-25 in two files or you could choose to ignore any differences between elements of styles 0-3 or you could ignore some elements and focus only on others. In addition, DgnCompare has the ability to specify a tolerance factor so that if any elements are within the specified tolerance they are considered identical.

Options are included to focus on or ignore elements of a specific type, level, color or style.

DgnCompare reports differences graphically or with text.
For each design file processed, DgnCompare generates a graphical report design
file (user's option) showing the deleted, added and modified elements. DgnCompare intuitively uses different colors to show the user which elements have been modified (yellow), left unchanged (white), deleted (red) or added (green). The report design
file has the same name as the original design file, but has an extension of .drf (design report file). There is an option to generate a text report of the differences.

Success Stories

"Dgncompare solved all of my problems. Once again Axiom came through for us."
F. Sauzier
"DGNCompare helps in the checking of the drawings when there are not a lot of changes made to a drawing. It allows us to see if someone moved something or deleted something unintentional. It basically gives us a second check of the drawings."
